How long does it take before new elementary schools get on the ranking board? Any thoughts on Aliana's new elementary school, Madden? Is it planned to be a really good school in Ft. Bend?

Thanks!

I think Madden has a lot of potential. The current principle for Drabek Elementary is going to be Madden's new principle. I have heard good things about her and have met her already. I have been waiting for this school to open for almost 7 yrs now. It looks very nice so far!

The new principal has done a phenomenal job at raising the performance of her current school, Drabek. She is bringing some great teachers and staff over to Madden with her.

Also, Aliana has a lot of well-educated and involved parents. Given these factors, I think Madden will be a great school, which is why I am sending my child there to start kindergarten in the fall instead of keeping him in private montessori school for another year.

Given that the bulk of the students transferred to the new school will be from Oakland Elementary (well-ranked, good school) and the demographics of Aliana and the areas south of it that are being transferred to the new school are mostly newer homes, upper-middle class with young families -- in addition to the principal who is supposed to be excellent -- I expect it to be a very good school.

My family and I are moving to Houston and debating between sugar land or Richmond. I like Alaina community, how is the Madden school now that it's open? I have a 2, 4, and 7 year old

I have a 4th grader. Her teachers are very responsive with their communication to me. They have challenged my daughter to push herself. She has grown so much since going to Madden. We are very happy with Madden and the other parents I spoken to are also. I have never seen so many parents volunteers before!

Good luck!
