My husband and I are moving to the Cypress area this summer, we already have jobs lined up but are having a hard time finding a place.
We will also be working in the Cypress area, would be okay with a 20-30 min commute to work (I know, traffic is awful, will take that into consideration). We prefer 2 bedrooms, pet friendly.. we have a cat and a small dog. And of course a safe place. Under $1000... is this possible? I'm not having much luck with online searches. We could probably afford something a little higher but would really prefer not to be too strapped for cash with moving expenses, etc.
Any specials or deals anyone knows of? Any apartments not really advertised online that are worth checking out?
We would also be happy renting a small house, but the rent on those seems even higher.

Any feedback would be appreciated!
Thanks!!

Cypress is big; near what intersections will your jobs be? Single-family will be hard to find for under $1000, but even a newer apartment should be easy to find.

Cypress is a huge nebulous area of unincorporated Harris County and parts of the city of Houston. That being said, it's one of the best parts of Houston. I know a ton of good stable people who live out there and would never consider leaving. Looks like in that price range you'd be looking at a townhouse or condo or apartment complex. This area is decent...
