Hi, does anyone know what the cheapest way to get from Katy to IAH? Super Shuttle or any other transportation company? We do not plan to drive our own cars. But what will it cost to park your car at IAH for 2 weeks? Is it safe to park there for that long? Thanks.

In addition, does anyone have suggestion for IAH safe and cheap long-term parking for 15 days?

We used Parking Cents. It was about $6 a day and is on the fringe of IAH property. Left it there for a week, no problem. 24 hr security, and free shuttle to & from the terminals. The shuttle will drop you off at your car.

Houston Airport System

I've heard of people getting their fancy rims stolen in these types of lots, but that's Houston for you. It's not your car, and if it's a rental then it's likely nothing will be stolen off it. No one wants factory rims unless they're the 20" ones found on the large trucks/suvs.

Fast Park & Relax comes out to $5 a day (with Internet coupon) and the service is very good.

Two other options...

1 - (depending on the time you are flying out) - check with some of the nearby IAH hotels - some offer "park and fly" rates - with the amount of time you will be gone, it just about pays for the hotel room - and you will be much more relaxed on travel day!

2 - There is a very reputable auto repair shop in Humble - Beckwith Auto Repair - http://www.beckwiths.com. They offer free shuttle to IAH while you are doing auto repair. This could be bad if you have a late night return home, but otherwise it can be very handy.

If you're leaving during the week between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM, you could take the Park & Ride out of Katy to downtown and then transfer to the 102 Express for IAH. It would set you back a total of about $6.00 / person (not including the cost of taking a cab from wherever you live to the P&R lot, assuming you don't have anyone to drop you off).
