I can't found Elkins map anywhere. Is something missing there?

Nice break for the Telfair folks.

Look at the new clements map with the hole around the Telfair lofts. That is amazing. How they got away with that I will never know. Shameful really.

ipuck- the site says they are still uploading maps and to keep checking throughout the day. I assume the Elkins map is coming.

I suspect the Clements "keep Telfair out" crowd had something to do with it.

It looks like Elkins won't change much. Looking at the Hightower map. It doesn't include the proposed lake Olympia section unless I'm missing something.

I'm telling you. The board are a bunch of crooks that probably is bought and swayed to the whims of certain groups and neighborhoods.

I agree. I live in Riverstone, and they did it in my neighborhood too. They took the new apartments and moved them to Settlers Way when they are less than 2 miles from ES 47. If you read the document online, it says they were supposed to go to Commonwealth and were moved to SWE to relieve overcrowding at CWE. But I don't buy it. Clearly money talks, and I am disappointed. I guess nothing should shock me anymore, really.

I have heard Telfair and Riverstone people complain about the apartments ... something along the lines of being disgusted that they built the apartments after the single family homes were built and sold. Some have contacted the BOT demanding they not send the apartments to the same schools as their children. Not everything can be blamed on those who live around CHS.

Well, at the Board meeting last night my impression was that this was the first the Board was hearing about it from the consulting firm (Dejong-Richter) who said the change was made due to "community concerns" of some sort. I think most of those "concerns" were coming from Clements and/or Riverstone (the part by Clements).

Actually there is a big change.

The elkins map is up. Pretty much everything south of Lake Olympia is gone (the cheaper section of olympic estates).

A sizable chunk on top is gone also (again the middle income "poor" folks section).

I think the racial makeup of Elkins will change drastically with this change.

Currently is 40% blacks, i think after this, it will be 20% or less.

Money talks. They really did it.
