Uh...oh. This better not be 'affordable housing', I've seen how that works in more than one city. Good way to kill an area on the upswing.

I would rather have affordable housing, than having a large homeless population.

Trust me, what's getting built under this program isn't a traditional definition of "affordable." These are market-rate Class A projects.

I'm not advocating for Section 8 properties to be bulit right across the street from mansions, but I don't see what's wrong with building decent apartments or houses that are at affordable prices.

This development in downtown doesn't really seem like a affordable housing development, so it shouldn't really be anything to worry about.
