We are moving from Pennsylvania this summer to Kingwood. We have an 8 year old son that made the U9 travel soccer team locally for the fall. He would love to play in Kingwood this fall. What soccer clubs are recommended in the Kingwood area?

I can't provide a specific response to your question, but if no other info comes up, you may want to try posting in the forums here: Welcome to Kingwood Texas - www.Kingwood.com

The soccer leagues are more than likely WAY BIGGER than anything in PA. Folks here take their kids sports seriously. I am sure your son can join one of them.

Just by googling, I found more than a few.

Youth Soccer Leagues in Kingwood Atascocita Humble Summerwood Texas Areas

I think fall registration is starting next month.

That's a good link from ipuck. Heatwave and Alliance are top notch clubs. The game is big in Kingwood. The high school teams (boys and girls) have been highly ranked in the state for years.

In fact, a lot of the northern Houston suburbs like Klein and The Woodlands are a hot bed for the game. That sometimes surprises out of state folks who think of Texas as a Football only culture.

Probably the best club in the state is Texans SC. They are always sending their players to college on scholarship. They are not in Kingwood, but are not far from there. Welcome to Texas!

I was shocked when I saw the number of teams in the Klein League. I thought every kid in the northern part of houston is playing there.

In Kingwood, at that age you will likely want to look into Texans Academy. Texans are the competitive club in this area. They are partnered with Heatwave and offer younger players a training Academy and additional games for ages up to U10. To participate in the Texans Academy you may be required to play in the Heatwave league (not certain on that). Once your son gets to U11 he can try out for their select team and will play games against other clubs in the city. My daughter plays on the girls side of the club (Challenge).
