We are considering moving from Meyerland to Friendswood. My Husband and I have 2 young boys (4 & 2) and are looking for a neighborhood that will have a great community feeling, and most importantly have other kids nearby for my boys. We would also love some cool neighbors that we could be great friends with also!

Our budget is in the $750+ range and these two neighborhoods have been recommended to us - however we really know nothing about the area.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Either would have what you are looking for. Friendswood Is very community oriented. As for neighbors - like anywhere else that's a hit or miss. Always sort of luck of the draw in who you get for neighbors.

MonteBello is a very small custom home community....its very nice, but its also very small...there would be more kids in the forest, as the forest is significantly larger.

Montebello you can still get lots and build your own home, whereby the Forest, I believe (could be wrong) is built out, so you would be buying an existing home.

Also look at West Ranch...its where most of the new construction and families are currently buying...your range will put you in the estate section, which is nice if you like the nicer tract homes....Montebello you bring your own builder and architect so its a true custom.

Hope that helps!

West Ranch would be a great option. It is a very family friendly neighborhood. The hoa does several parties for the kids. Hunters Creek is another small neighborhood with kids and it is gated The Forest section in your price range is more quiet. The cheaper section has more kids. But a beautiful neighborhood.
