there's actually many apartment complexes under a $1000 bucks once you get west of the loop, many before beltway 8 on westheimer. quite a few old ones still in 800 range

When you find out where the job is located, google apartment locator and what area. Example: Apartment locator Inner Loop Houston, if Downtown. Houston is so huge that an apartment locator from the Clear Lake area won't really know much about the communities Downtown or in Katy - and in reverse.

its ok, I maybe at fault I seen ads for 752-800 on a apartment website, and I agree I would feel secure when I get a job then a apartment, but since I have a better understanding as far as where's a good place to live that's fine for me. As long as its under 1,000 I'll be happy for a 1 bedroom

Hi, IMO I think you should look in Spring Branch area regarding budget, it has worked for us but I already knew where I was going to work. And even though commute is rough we are looking to buy a home out in Katy. This area is mostly known as Westside. Good luck with your search and getting a good job that you would like and wouldn't mind the commute or the living area. Try this locator to help you, All-N-1 Apartment and Home Locating - 100% Free Service ask for Donna Wren.

All the south side isn't bad. You can go Southeast and be in Clear Lake, League City - coastal communities and very nice but in the suburbs. Am guessing you want to be more in town based on age and status.

Well I'm looking for a job, I've sent my resume to a lot of staffing companies down there already. They have work that pertains to me in the field that I excel at so I'm hoping by the time I get down there or even the week before I leave they can help me find something.
