We are slated to be relocated around the Houston area here in the near future. I will be working by the Baytown area so I am looking to find a safe, good community within 30-45 minutes from that area with good rental home options. What areas are suggested, a safe community is a priority and we do not have kids so that wont be an issue. I have been looking at the Humble/Atascocita area, Deer Park, Pearland, La Porte, Kingwood, The Woodlands is too far away, etc. Any help would be appreciated as well as any realtors that you may recommend. Thanks!

Price range would be about $1,000 - $1,800 per month. Hobbies/Interests would be going out to eat, outdoors, fishing, close proximity to grocery store/entertainment, etc. This however wouldnt be a huge deal because Houston would only be about 30min away or so. No friends in the immediate area.

Any areas on the NE side that are recommended? Areas like Humble, Kingwood, etc? Specifically good neighborhoods or areas within those locations? I just dont know which side is the safest, the NE or SE? It would have to be between those two probably just due to commute and where I will be working.

You might want to look at Newport in Crosby.

It's within your work and price proximity. It's on Lake Houston and has it's own golf course. It's a quick drive to the lower San Jacinto River. You're right by 90 which is a quick run to both Beltway 8 and where 10 and 610 meet.

The only good eateries real close by, IMHO, are going to be BBQ, burgers and a Chinese place that has terrific fried rice. For other options, you'll have to drive to the Atascocita area or head into DT Houston.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

These are three rental properties in that neighborhood.

BTW, I don't know if any below are on the haunted street or not, so if you or your wife have ghost issues, you might check on that first (I have no ghost issues) - http://www.amazon.com/The-Black-Hope.../dp/0688051766.
