Hi All!!

I know that there are quite a few of these threads but every situation seems to be different with each thread so I appreciate your help in advance. I'm 23 years old and recently have accepted a position with Rice University. First off let me say how excited I am to be moving to Houston and be part of the family!

I have never been to the area before and am not all that familiar with Houston except for the little research I have been able to collect. I would like to live close to campus if possible but in a safe area with fellow young professionals and plenty to do. I would love any suggestions, guidance, specific apartment complexes that you recommend. Thank you all!

Anything around Rice is safe, the question is how much space do you need or want, and what are you able to pay?

Budget wise I'm willing to spend anywhere up to $1,500 a month on rent. A 2 bedroom would be ideal but I know that may not be realistic with my budget in the city.
