In my opinion Shadowcreek is going to be the easier commute because you don't have to go through downtown. That's not the case coming from Fall Creek, you have to drive 59 before getting on 288.

I live in ES and commuted to the med center for quite a few years. It would take longer for me based on where I live vs being in Fall Creek. And the commute times differ pretty greatly depending on when you leave. As a shift person who worked 7a-7p, I left my house by 5:45a to get to the garage, park, walk to my unit and clock in by 6:30-6:45a. (Usually 35 minutes of driving time). I usually took 59 to 288 to holcombe and then over.

Then I switched to a desk job and left much later. I would leave around 7ish, and get to my office around 7:45-8 or so. I would take 59 to the beltway over to hardy toll road and take that all the way down. Then I would exit W Hardy toll Road (eventually turns into Crawford st I believe). Then would go down Fannin all the way to the med center. Sounds like a PITA, but it was actually a lot faster than taking 59 down at the time of the morning. Took me around 45 minutes (again coming from ES, so you can easily shave 10-15 minutes off my commute tomes to get an idea of fall creek times).

Thank you both for your opinions. Lhafer, do you think Pearland/shadow Creek Ranch would be easier than FC? Thanks again

I don't know as I don't live down there any more. I used to live in the med center. When we started looking for a house, shadow creek ranch was just beginning and their models homes weren't even built. But I could see their plans and knew that they area would grow very rapidly, and I knew I didn't want to deal with 288 traffic when that happened. Because the traffic is thick, and eventually there will be construction to widen it. And I didn't want to deal with that either. Otherwise, pearland is a decent place to live from what I understand.

As far as the commute from West Pearland is concerned, if you are leaving for work anytime after 7 am, your commute will take longer than Fall Creek, despite it being shorter.

If you leave early enough or have flex hours, the commute to the med center from Shadow Creek can be a breeze.

I'd prefer fall creek. Traffic just isn't as bad on 59 vs. 288

30-40 minutes at peak from SCR to med center via Almeda. Add 5-10ish minutes up 288, if that. The one good thing about 288/Almeda traffic is that it rarely differs. Major accidents rarely happen during peak times due to the heavier traffic. I prefer the heavier, steady traffic, but to each his own. Good luck.

There's a lot of med center people in SCR. We really like the community. Not sure what else you want to know. I know nothing about Fall Creek so I can't compare.

I work in Med Center and live in Fall Creek. I take beltway 8 to hwy 90 to 610 south to get there. The only day I get traffic is tuesday but any other time it takes me 30 min with little to no traffic.
