I think har.com is a great site and wish more cities had an equivalent.

Pending status is a drop down box in the search query. Easy to use.

That's stupid, it's kind of like a bait and switch. When we're searching for homes in districts we are not familiar with, we always pass on the homes that didn't have the schools listed.

There are some schools in HISD that are not zoned to the neighborhood, such as Vanguard, Magnet etc. Some zoned schools fill up for certain grades, and a buyer may have to go elsewhere, at least for a while.Maybe that is why some large realty firms don't show the schools in the listing info.

It does say "Information should be independantly verified" in the school section, I guess as a CYA for the realtors.
So many listings have it wrong, I would just look up the address on the school websites anyway to verify if you are remotely interested in seeing a property.

Yes, what also irritates me is when realtors input Pin Oak MS, DeBakey HS, etc. That's not a zoned school and they are scamming you!

We just closed on our home.
when we were searching, i would always crosscheck the schools zoned to each house i was looking at via greatschools.org

some realtors are either lazy to put the schools, omits the school zoned to the house because it does not have a good rating or fraudlently inputs a good school that is not zoned to the house just to boost sales...

PLEASE ALWAYS CROSSCHECK AT GREATSCHOOLS.ORG
