Hi all,

I'm moving from California to take a job at HP 11445 Compaq Center W Dr
Houston, TX 77070. Could anyone suggest some good place to live in the area?

Thank you,
San

Louretta and 249 or Cypresswood and 249.

There are tons of them.

There are a lot of places through there that would work well.
We lived at the Villas at Cypresswood when we first moved from California and had a good experience-it's pretty darn close to HP.

Thank you for all your responses. I'm looking for something modern, contemporary design type off. Any suggestion? Thank you!

Don't forget to mention that you're an HP employee. Many apartments, stores and restaurants in the area have HP employee discounts. You do need to show your badge at time.

Example of discount from apartment: Discount or waive deposit fee.

Some of my friends stay in these just across 249 from HP: here. They seem to like it pretty well, although since they're more spacious, newer, and next to a bunch of middle to higher end retail, they're a little pricier than others you can find in the area. In fact, for the prices they charge, you could basically live downtown for 100-300 more for the same square footage. I guess it all depends on what will make your quality of life better, what scene/environment you want to be in, and how much time are you willing to commute everyday. Personally, I would live downtown and take 249 or hardy toll rd up everyday for work, but that's because I'm willing to spend 45 min to a hour commuting so that I can live in a more urban area, but you may not prefer that.
