There are a lot of places through there that would work well.
We lived at the Villas at Cypresswood when we first moved from California and had a good experience-it's pretty darn close to HP.

Some of my friends stay in these just across 249 from HP:
here . They seem to like it pretty well, although since they're more spacious, newer, and next to a bunch of middle to higher end retail, they're a little pricier than others you can find in the area. In fact, for the prices they charge, you could basically live downtown for 100-300 more for the same square footage. I guess it all depends on what will make your quality of life better, what scene/environment you want to be in, and how much time are you willing to commute everyday. Personally, I would live downtown and take 249 or hardy toll rd up everyday for work, but that's because I'm willing to spend 45 min to a hour commuting so that I can live in a more urban area, but you may not prefer that.
