Hello to all,

I am seeking information for my fiancé. He has been offered a position at the Valero Houston Refinery. He is looking for a decent 1bdrm apt in the surrounding area. We were thinking maybe Pearland or Spring. We are unfamiliar with the area and will appreciate any and all info. The monthly max for rent is $1200 but hoping to pay less.

Thank you all in advance!

Hello!

At what hours will your fiancé be heading to and from work? Both Spring and Pearland are very good choices but the traffic could be a little hairy depending on his schedule.

He will work a DuPont schedule, rotating 4am-4pm and 4pm-4am.
Do you have any apt recommendations?

Thank you

Have no idea where refineries are but pearland and spring are on opposite sides of houston. An hour or hour and a half away from one another

When I think of Manchester I think of just outside of 610 between 225 and I-10, along the ship channel. It's a bit industrial but I'd say check out Deer Park first and see if it fits your criteria. Pearland may not be 30 minutes if he leaves the plant at 4. Spring certainly will not be.

You need to use an apartment locator. They should be free.
I would suggest Clear Lake or Friendswood close to 45, but I have only a vague idea of where his work is. It's probably close to the ship channel.

Here's one, but there are others.

Maybe you could find something in Deer Park or Pasadena.
