Hi all,
Just moved to 249/spring cypress area.

I'm signed up for the half marathon and used to run at Memorial or along buffo bayou.
I'm having a hard time finding trails around my new house.
I've tried running around my neighborhood but that's only so far ( and I just can't run the same circle over and over). Also spring cypress (and most other roads) doesnt have a sidewalk or space for me to run comfortably on the shoulder.

Anyone in the area have any suggestions for long distance running? Thanks!

Meyer Park off of Cypresswood, that is probably the best running trail in that area. GL

I live in champions forest and run at Meyer park, through our neighborhood also without sidewalks or there is a small park on cypresswood/cutten. Meyer park is the best option though. I think their loop is just over a mile but we usually run around the pond towards the back of the park which pushes the loop to close to 2 miles.

What half are you running? My wife and I are running the houston half next weekend, half in Vegas and half in shiner in November, half in San Antonio in December and our first full attempt in Jan for the cheveron houston.

There are also a couple running clubs, usafit cypresswood it may be tool are to join them for this season, I think there is one in cole's crossing off of 290, maybe a usafit in the woodlands and another is the woodlands running club

I think Faulkey Gully is there just west of 249 around Louetta/Jones. I have run that before, and it does get you off of the roads. Good luck!
