Hello,
What is the "To do" stuff on halloween day? I ve seen kids dressed up in halloween costumes and collect candies from every other store on the mall. Is it a custom?

Any other event in Houston that we can do on that day?

It depends on which side of the town you live in. There are children's events all over the place. Our local fire department in League City used to have a haunted house for kids. One of the churches has a massive pumpkin patch. The Kemah Boardwalk has a trick-or-treating event for kids. I know many churches sponsor Halloween day events just for kids. Discovery Green in downtown Houston has some kind of kids costume party.

Which side of town are you located? I'm sure somebody on here knows of some events in your area.

Make sure wherever you go that the lights are on and or people are outside.

If the lights are off, house is dark, and signage posted "NO TRICK OR TREATERS", then don't go to the front door.

So remember, if you see this or a sign like this then don't knock or ring the bell.

Yup, all over some candy...

That happened one year to a guy on my old street in Clear Lake. 4 kids ages 12-15 went to jail because charges were pressed and followed through on. Now 4 kids all have criminal records that will follow them all because of a stupid decision.

Candy at the grocery store is cheaper than a record.

They used to do the Herman Park Zoo Boo at the zoo, not sure if that's still going on, but may be worth a few hours during the day if it is
