been like that since the 90s - only difference is they're up to the issues with those areas as opposed to plucking away from the predominately aa areas cause they started kicking butt.

I do not understand why Telfair should be out of Clements. Firstly and foremost Telfair is paying much higher price for a home than what Riverstone is paying. You can buy a NEW 3500-4000 sq feet house for $400-$500k in Riverstone whereas it costs $500-700k or even more in Telfair. This is a FACT. We pay more for our houses and taxes for fort bend than Riverstone. Secondly, the Clements is closer to Telfair and smaller subdivision paying higher taxes after first colony unlike Riverstone which is ginormous extending to Richmond and paying less house prices. Telfair is NO way giving up Clements. Riverstone is cheaper and everyone knows that than telfair and so it cannot claim to get a share of Clements. Let Riverstone pay more taxes just like telfair. Riverstonians want everything for themselves without paying a price for it. Why is riverstone not utilising ASE - that speaks volumes about their culture. They are in one corner of sugarland and want all the perks of fortbend. Riverstone is Richmond - see it for yourself when you google and it’s not sugarland. Riverstone remember you get for what you paid and STOP 🛑✋ messing with Telfairians!!!!

Telfair was originally zoned to Kempner and was for quite some time. Still was one of the best selling communities in the area.

The reason we had to raise this TELFAIR issue was Riverstonians started it. The problem is with Developers and FortBend County. They are making false promises to the Buyers be it - Riverstone or Telfair. FortBend County is ACCOUNTABLE. It is not fair for Riverstone to say - Lets get Telfair out of Clements. I am a resident of Telfair and when I bought the property the Seller and Broker - all represented that it is zoned to Clements. Who do we make accountable? Well they would say BUYER beware. Well if that is so FortBend county, Developers, Seller and Real Estate Brokers - are all making False representations to Telfair and Riverstone people.

Telfair people have no animosity towards anyone. All we are saying is that - Riverstone people cannot talk like that. Even Telfair Buyers have been falsely represented. Dont think Riverstone is taking the brunt and we are taking the brunt of it now.

Always blaming someone. Schools get rezoned all the time. Brokers, sellers...etc have no control over what the school districts will do, or who gets rezoned. Schools on a listing should always be independently verified. That is common sense! Many of the Telfair and Riverstone residents are brilliant book wise, but the bus left early when common sense, and taking some responsibility came.

Well then kindly share the source for INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION. We have checked the FBISD websites, spoke to schools about zoned areas, all those zillion property websites (which offcourse have disclaimers), neighbors - NOW did we really miss on something. Really - it is important for people to share information. I am blaming because I really do not know other source of information to verify which areas are zoned to which schools. FBISD, Developers, Sellers - have all set their hands free. It is BUYER who is Cheated. UNFAIR!!!!!!!!!

Yikes! Calm the heck down.

Yes you may be zoned to a school when you first move in. But (thankfully!) the school board isn’t beholden to developers and realtors. Or at least they shouldn’t be. The school board should be working in the best interests of ALL students in the district. Whatever your real estate agent may or may not have promised a homeowner is irrelevant.

Ask a realtor what school a home is zoned to. A decent one will tell you. Ask a realtor to promise it will never ever change for the entire time you own the home, and only a fraud would promise that.

Use some common sense here. A good school district will not play sucker to a realtor’s or developer’s promises. And if you believed a realtor’s promise that your home would never rezone... well, bless your naive little heart.
