I had the builder pre-wire cable to the patio when I built. I finally mounted my TV in the patio and when I opened the wall plate, I pull the pull-string but it seemed it was stuck. Im sure the cables are taped to the studs.

My question is, how do I get the cable connection to the plate? I don't want to damaged the cables inside the wall by pulling too hard. Hope it makes sense!

RG-6 is very durable, unless you're David Banner and turn into The Hulk when you're angry, you should be able to yank on that cable pretty hard without breaking it.

Tie a string to the string outside and make sure it's securely connected. Go back to where the cables enter the wall (attic area) and pull that cable back towards you until you feel it moving freely. Then go back outside and pull the cable back out. If you can't pull it all the way then I suggest trying to run a new cable using the string you pull back. Make sure there is enough string attached the cable/string in the wall just in case. They may have accidentally stapled the cable in which case you need to pull a fish tape back through in order to get the staples and then be able to pull a new cable.

Call the builder and tell him to send someone out.
