NOOOOO!!! Please stop them. I really am quite fond of my lack of traffic and enjoy seeing the open areas.

In the near future, for sure. In the long term, and of course this will depend heavily on how much the Med Center expands, I could see the development going as far South as Angleton, or at least very close to it. Again, I'm talking waaay down the line here. Probably not in my lifetime, but it's not a stretch to think that it could happen.

Look at how quickly Pearland developed. That whole area along 288 from 610 to Hwy 6 was just no man's land when I was growing up in Houston. Back then no one thought that area would ever develop. There's still a lot of room for development out that way. A lot of cheap land.

I thought the east would never grow. I guess it's the east side's turn to grow now.

The eastside never grow? Just east of Baytown in Western Chambers (were living east starts to become attractive even off I-10) we've seen population growth by exponential amounts…in the past 10 years we've probably more than quadrupled in population. The growth's been happening to the east, just not as fast a west or north.

It was a bit of sarcasm. LOL. Maybe, it's the east's turn now.

I wish it was never the east's turn…there too many people already and there aren't upgrading roads, services, or retail like are needed.

I went through the east side on my way back home for the holidays. The east side needs development, because it looks a mess.

Yes because it is governments responsibility to add retail?

I didn't say anything about government I meant that in the way that typically with more people comes wider roads, better services, and more retail…
