whats the best and cheapest way to Sod your backyard. Are lot size is 19000 sqft. Builder only sods front yard. Previous house back yard wasn't that big so I did it myself.

Pay for Saint Augustine to be installed here at my house front lawn need like 16 pieces of soda went to Houston Garden Center and Home Depot Home Depot had better quality sod it did not look like it had been sitting in direct sun like for 6 weeks

If you are about to sod your entire yard, you might want to look at some alternatives to St. Augustine. I've read some good stuff on CD about other grasses that do well in Houston are appear to be better in many respects.

Additionally, have you thought about installing a drip irrigation system? Doing it PRIOR to new grass would be best.

19,000 sq ft is a lot. typical pallets are about 450 sq ft so that means you need about 43 pallets.
however, I would think your house takes up most of that so you would probably need less.

you would need that much delivered. There's plenty of places that deliver but it depends on the grass you want and the location. Almost all will have st. augustine.
Some of those places will also install or most landscapers can do it as well.

Builder should have a cost option to sod the backyard.

If not then you can plug sod the yard and wait for it to grow in.
