My vehicle is registered in Dallas, but I work (locally) in Houston and travel once in a while back to Dallas. Both counties require emission testing. Will I have any issue getting my inspection done here in Houston even though my car is registered in Dallas?
Thanks!

You should be fine if you have a window sticker.

I lived in Denton for 4 years and kept my car registered here. I had no problem getting it done up there once, so I would imagine you should be able to here also.

If you live in Harris County and you get your inspection done in another county they will tell you take your car back to Harris County and get the emission test done. My brother lives in Austin the first 2 yrs he lived there they would tell him to bring it back to Harris county for emissions testing.

Waller County doesn't do emissions. $15 for an inspection up there.

Since they now put the county a car is registerd in, on the plate renewal sticker, (and it is probably in the computerized records) you can't get a car that is licensed in an emissions county inspected in a non emissions county. That is why they send you back to Harris County if you live here. But more than likely the OP can have it done here since the car is registered in another emissions county.

Best thing is to just stop by and ask. If they can't do it, they will let you know.
