My 57 year old aunt is wanting to live in a 55+ complex. She's not 60 but acts older and prefers senior citizen company but doesn't want it all 70+ people.

I personally can't imagine anyone under 60 living in a "senior" 55+ place because with the exception of her the 50 somethings I know want to act 40 something.

I look around on har but even Google searching comes up nursing home type of senior living. Getting a realtor for apartment hunting seems pointless IMO.

Where would I look to help her? CheryJohns?

Oh and her budget is $800. Less would be better. That's not much wiggle room I know but she can't afford more and North Houston only

Yes! But more options. I know of this place but really only this one. The rest do seem like long term, nursing, assisted living type of places. She's just tired of children in complexes. The cheaper the rent the more likely children will be in there but she's done.

Not really North, but NW in Jersey Village we have this complex near 290 and Eldridge/West Rd. The Manor At Jersey Village | JerseyVillageApartments.com

We looked into them for my wife's aunt, and they were nice, but were still out of her price range. She would have needed to share a 2 BR to make it work for her.

Good luck!
