Hello,

I have only every driven through Houston (on the way to Galveston) and have no clue on the types of areas it offers. I am relocating from Wichita KS for a job transfer and am trying to locate a home to purchase. I will be working in the Greenway Plaza.

Are there any areas that are 20 minutes or less from the Greenway Plaza that are in the 150-175k range? I would prefer newer homes but am worried about moving into a bad part of town. It is just me and my wife but we plan on having kids eventually.

Thanks for your help.

Reading his posts, it doesn't sound like he said he was moving there. To me it sounds like he was inquiring.
Appears to me based on your posts you either - don't offer very much help, in fact most posts are spend degrading people asking questions or you are trolling......

To the OP, I would suggest finding an apartment that allows month-to-month so you can see the area for yourself.

Op. welcome to Houston.

I came here from Wichita 14 years ago. Houston is about 20times larger than Wichita.
It would be a good idea to rent for your first year here, get to know the city, the traffic and then decide what location works for you.

Good luck
