If you've already bought a house / signed a lease, that will already be determined by which school you're zoned to (unless you or your spouse works in the district, in which case you can choose which school to enroll them in).

Like pretty much every elementary school in LCISD, I've heard good things about both.

Where are you moving to?

Hubenak is severely overcrowded and will be until at least fall 2016 but it's a good school.

My niece and nephew attend Frost. My family loves it and says great things about it! We are moving into the district this summer once our house is built.

Is there a new school going to be built in the area? And I agree about Hubenak, my kids love it there.

I would recommend one with a good grammar program.

The district will not give a firm answer on when or if a new school is coming, lots of unofficial promises of one in 2016 but now that the bond has passed they are avoiding the question.

Thank you all your inputs. We are zoned to Huggins, but i think it would not be an issue if we take them to either Frost or Hubernak since they are also about 10min from our house. I like Hubernak because it is more diversed, but Frost got a lot of good reviews although the reviews were dated...

I think I read that Hubenak has a freeze on inter-district transfers because of the overcrowding.
