Regrettably I must say go for A&M. Their after graduation network is phenomenal. Aggies in management positions tend favor fellow Aggies.

UH have come a long way from cougar high, but it is not even a contest if there is choice between A&M and UH.

It always have been and continue to be UT/A&M and everybody else in state. Rice is in a separate category.

Only bad part of this is you can't make fun of an aggie anymore

A&M all the way and it's not even close. It's one of the few premier recruiting destinations for big oil, and all the other power players in the industry. Though I'd say he'd have to get a Masters pretty much...not much recruiting for undergrads for the geologist/geophysics positions.
