Hello,

I'd like to take a drive over the weekend out of Houston and see the bluebonnets (new to Houston so I have never seen them). The pictures look wonderful.

What would be a good 1/2 day trip out of Houston and also see the blue bonnets along the way?

Would appreciate your feedback.

IF you don't want to drive so far they have them in the park along TC Jester.

Washington, Texas (Brenham Area).

Tons of them out on HW1155 / HW2193. Its out very country out there, but durring this time of year people from Houston flock out there and with photographers and get their family photos.

Just be respectful of people's property. People tend to climb through fences to get to the biggest patches of bluebonnets regardless of whether or not its private property.

Bluebonnet Love

I think there are some in Memorial Park, but not sure it's a big field.

Last year I drove 4-5 miles from Cypress Outlets - further on 290 East and found lot of blue bonnets near one of the exits.

Some people like Hwy 71 between Columbus and Austin. I always liked the Brenham area. Head out 290 to Brenham and then get on one of the backroads as suggested above.
