Propane tank lasts 21 days, exchange the tank and replace the attractant cartridge. It has worked great the last two years
I used one of those for an entire summer and caught a grand total of 5 mosquitoes in the little net trap. I'm guessing I paid $12 per mosquito once you figure in the cost of propane and the Lurex3.

I found a deal on a misting system; the previous owner moved into a home on Lake Conroe and he did not like having it around, so I brought it from him, but have not connected it yet.

Do you have next door neighbors, do they say anything about the spray? Do you just have it on the perimeters? I'm planning the installation of it within the next month, 'just curious as to how others have theirs installed. Thanks

That's strange because I catch many of them enough to have to clean out the basket, the numbers decrease over the year but that's how it is supposed to work. I cleaned the trap Sunday and checked a few minutes ago and there are at least a dozen in the basket at the moment

All I can say is that it didn't work for me.

My parents also had one that they sold as well.

Maybe there were too many breezes going through our yards not allowing the CO2 to build up enough by the unit or we were in a different part of the city with different mosquitoes; I just couldn't say.

The funny thing is that if you read the reviews, most people either give them 1 star ratings or 5 star ratings. On Amazon ( Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: Mosquito Magnet MM4100 Patriot Mosquito Trap ) the 1 star ratings outnumber the 5 star ratings.

One thing I can say is that I followed the instructions.

They really seem to be swarming this year. We can see the lizards chowing around our porch light, but they are not making much of a dent.... Been too breezy lately for a fogger.

We have a misting system which automatically comes on at dawn and again at dusk. In addition, we have a remote control we can use for an additional misting if it gets really bad. Although I wouldn't say this has completely solved the mosquito problem, it has definitely lessened the numbers.

If you garden or have some nice landscaping avoid whole yard sprays or misting systems. They dont kill mosquitoes they are designed to kill everything.

I never have to use pesticide because my good guys do a great job eating the baddies. I havent even noticed a mosquito yet its pretty early

Oh, boy!! Discussed it here MANY times.
Mosquitos are part of our life here.
They are present in every land region except for Antarctica, Iceland and few islands, mainly in polar or subpolar climates.
Sorry, mate - accept them or leave
