I am remodeling my bath and need your feedback. I putting in a jacuzzi tub but can not decide between oval or rectangular tub. Since this house may be sold in the future, as a prospective buyer, which would you prefer?

As someone who is a potential home buyer this year, who wants a jacuzzi/whirltub tub in the new home, I don't care about the shape. Just long enough for an avg person to sink into the tub under the water (except for the head), and avg width.

I noticed that some of those odd shaped tubs that are in corners in bathrooms (often called garden tubs) seem too short, but maybe that's an illusion because of the shape.

Is it a real jacuzzi/whirlpool, or an air jetted tub? I've learned there is a difference. I prefer whirlpool.

I have never noticed a tub shape making a difference.

I hate corner tubs. Unless you want to completely gut a bathroom, you are always stuck with a corner tub.

Also the water splash is very close to the cabinets with that layout.

Imho.

As someone who loves to take baths, but has no bathtub because my house sucks- a bathtub is a huge seller for me!!! I have had both round and the square jetted tubs, I think I actually liked my round one better- but it was larger than the rectangular one that I had. Either or would be fine probably, but personally I think I would go with the round!
