Anybody heard about Newmark homes building 115 homes opposite to shadow creek ranch and is named shadow ridge? The school district is Alvin ISD. It looks promising, but how is the reputation of Newmark homes??

I've been in my Newmark home for 4 months now and haven't had any issues with it. The sales, design and construction process went very smoothly. Sales person was outstanding and really knew the product and where to spend the money and where to pull back. Even gave some great ideas of where to utilize otherwise dead space by putting doors in and other minor changes. House was completed on time, and pretty much all deficiencies as found by my inspector were fixed quickly. House is extremely energy efficient (utility bills are same or less for 3600sq ft as my previous 2004 David Weekly home which was 2200 sq feet).

Hope that helps.

I've spoken to them last week and looks like they are still building the model homes out there. I wanted to know from the forum folks about the area and the school district. Thanks!

Newmark Homes | Newmark Homes Houston

appears they are on FB. if I looked the page up correctly it appears they have 6 likes! maybe they're page is really new? or they are (looks like they've been around 2 years at least but I didn't verify)? perhaps everyone on their page isn't a type of employee or family member to! always worth a check and could possibly get some more feedback there.

No, It's actually zoned to Alvin ISD according to everything I've read. I haven't driven past the actual site yet, but if it's across from Southlake, that makes sense. It should border the county line on the Brazoria side.

Yes, and they mentioned on their website that people in these homes will be part of shadow creek ranch community.

You better not believe what the builder tells you about the school zoning, Alvin ISD does NOT extend into FB county (as many unhappy homeowners in Shadowcreek Ranch have learned). If the county boundary cuts through this subdivision (and it looks like it clearly does) you better purchase a home on the Brazoria Co. side of it if you want Alvin ISD.
