I am sure this is a broad question but how are the areas and schools in this area?

Humble -- Atascocita -- Wilson Road

Are you looking at a specific neighborhood? Wilson road is a long road.

The main subdivision on Wilson Road is Fall Creek at the intersection of Wilson and Beltway 8. It has nice houses and amenities. Fall Creek has a good elementary school but feeds into Summer Creek High, which has a bad rating.

Eagle Springs is a little further away at 1960 and Atascocita Road. It has nice houses ams amenities, good elementary schools and feeds into Atascocita High School which is ok. The schools in Humble itself are bad.

The smell the other posters are referring to is from the large Waste Management landfill along Wilson Road. It gets pretty stinky at times, but the subdivisions I listed are not too close to it.

The smell along BW8 near Wilson can be horrible due to that landfill. The city of Humble itself isn't for me, but Atascocita is nice. Fall Creek, the neighborhoods along W. Lake Houston, and Eagle Springs are great communities and since you'll be working at the airport the commute will not be bad.

As for schools, depending on grade level they can range from excellent to bad.

What exactly are you looking for in the area? Proximity to retail? Dining options? Etc..
