Agreed. It's a neat place for sure, (I particularly like the rainforest pyramid), but the price seems way out of kilter with what you get for your money.

I don't understand the hate for Moody Gardens. Im actually planning on buying the season tickets. They dont have a lot of animals like the zoo. But you have AC pyramids and nature movies that in the summer are well worth the $$. If you've gonne to the Zoo in the Summer you know what Im talking about the animals are miserable and so are you and your children.

We had the family season passes for two years in a row. My kids were always excited when I told them we were going, and I usually had a good time.

The reason I stopped getting the season passes is because of several reasons.

We got a swimming pool, and I knew the first year was going to involve a lot of pool time.

The kids are at the age where they want to spend more time on the lake since they can do more activities.

I wanted to start doing some camping with the family.

Due to the amount of weekends being used for these activities, I just felt we wouldn't be utilizing the passes if I got them.
