Hello,

I already went to the informal property tax protest and did not win anything! Can I still hire a property tax law firm to fight the rise of my tax or is it too late?

You can request a formal hearing and hire a firm if you weren't happy with the informal hearing.

At informal meeting I signed the papers saying that I am satisfied with the result. I guess next year I will contact the law firm. I only found out about the law firm after my informal hearing. Oh well.. live and learn!

If you signed the papers, you are probably out of luck for this year. Watch your mailbox around the time the appraisals come out. Every year I get lots of solicitations in the mail from property tax firms. Two of the well known ones are O'Connor and Associates and Bettencourt Tax Advisors. Give them a call, maybe there is something they can do. They take a percentage of any tax savings they get for you.
