How long does HCAD typically take to update their records of residential real estate transactions on their website?

For example there was a property listed as sold on HAR around end of June but the HCAD website is still listing the previous owner and last date of sale as several years ago.

Basically I am just trying to determine if it did indeed change hands.

If the new owner sends in the paperwork, a couple weeks. Otherwise, months and I'm not sure how the process works.

Try looking on the Harris County Clerk's site under real property search. If you know the seller's name, put that in as Grantor.

The tax roll had to be approved by August 15 so that all the taxing agencies could know what to expect and set their rates.

I suspect it was all hands on deck to get that finished. One I know closed months ago, but it still has the old owner listed.
