I use Homesnap and its great. However, for some reason, I can't find some of the inventory home sales which I know for fact have been sold. The house I am looking for is in Woodcreek reserve

The search features on redfin is far more advanced. You can sort by areas/neighborhoods/etc on all houses sold within past month/year and then export out into a spreadsheet, which allow you to do further research on pricing. You can then sort by $/sq and whatever else criteria you have.

The neighborhood search feature is far better than HAR also.

Homesnap got the snazzy graphics but the substance and usefulness is really not there.

Like I said earlier, the only thing I like Homesnap more is they keep the whole history of price changes on the house. It will show how many price changes on every MLS listing, up to 5 years I think. So if the house was relisted with a new agent, you can still see the history.

Redfin does not show how much was the house is originally listed and then what was offered and then at the end how much was it sold for.

Homesnap.com does show all these.

how do I know?

I checked my house purchase history and then a friend of mine's. Homesnap.com was accurate to the penny and the day.

I checked with couple of realtors and they said hoomesnap.com is as accurate as it gets as far as their experience reveals.

Homesnap.com also shows you all the REAL prices that the houses sold for any given zipcode upto 1 year history.

And this is ALL FREE.

Redfin shows what kind of financing was used, for example conventional loan(s), FHA or cash purchase.
