I currently live 20 minutes away from my job and sit in 1.5 hour traffic each way , monday-fri and that's on a good day when the sun is shinning...about one week out of the year. If it's raining , then add another 20 minutes to the journey...

I also live in Sugar Land with three children. We love it here. Great community, great schools, plenty to do, very convenient. Good luck!

If crime is a concern then I bet houston area (including sugar land) has way more crime stats then chorpus. It's just way more people here.

We have a 6 year old who will be going to grade 2 in Sept ...we will probably move after Christmas once we have sold our house here. We don't have jobs sorted out yet ( &#128584 , hubby used to be a cop in US and I'm a social worker so not too worried about finding work and not afraid of commuting ( you guys need to sit in one lane London traffic , seriously). My main concern is finding a good school and a decent area to raise our daughter...
just wanted to get an idea of peoples thoughts and opinions about Sugar land....

Cheers
Sugar Land is an excellent choice for anyone in the healthcare industry. Great schools and convenient to the Texas Medical Center as well.

OP is looking to change careers. Pick wisely!

As a social worker that isnt licensed you would have to worry about finding work that isnt in daycare or child protection
