There is so much wrong with this, but I'll just say this.

If you don't know how to use it, don't touch it. Especially if it doesn't belong to you....

Excellent advice! And I'm sure EVERY child in the country is taught this.

Due to human nature, people tend to be curious about things they are not familiar.

The first time most people saw a flat screen tv in the store, they stopped and looked at it. How often do you stop and look at flat screen tv's now?

How intrigued were you to drive for the first time? How about now?

I'll be exposing my kids to guns under my supervision so that going to look at a gun isn't exciting or interesting.

I remember the first time my older brother and I took his two boys shooting. They were extremely excited to hold the gun and shoot it. They were memorized and argued about who got to shoot first. Now, just a year later, when you force them to the shooting range with their 22's, they can't wait to run through their allotted rounds so they can sit down and play Minecraft on their tablets.

It's similar to my pool situation. Before I had the pool installed, my kids always begged me to take them to my parents to swim. Now, I have to coerce them to swim in our pool.

The funniest part of the OP is that the nicest thing you can say about Atlantic City is that it's only the 2nd worst cesspool of a city in it's own state.

What's wrong about Atlantic City? I like it. Been there only once though.
But New Jersey in general is pretty tough state to live.
I don't know how people can live without guns there.
Camden is always on the top of the most dangerous places in the US list.
Trenton, Newark...ouch. Very high concentration of dangerous places for such a small state.
And those people can bring crime to other areas as well.
Houston is getting pretty dangerous too, but I believe guns are more needed for self-protection in NJ in general rather than in TX.
