Take a Google Earth walk through there. It's townhome central. And the few remaining bungalows are soon to be townhomes.

Living here I don't need google earth to know people don't understand that not tall skinny houses are town homes

If they had the money they could get a superior location, superior schools and superior cohesive neighborhood feel. Yes, there are neighborhoods that actually have that feel... They would still get the same lot size though ~5K no need to worry about the maintenance. Your 11K lot must have been well outside the loop even Beltway perhaps? You may or may not have a desire to live there but you won't live there in a comparable house on your Heights budget. There is really nothing to discuss.

The comical part is you are imparting your opinion as fact when it comes to what other people want or wish for with their housing. Your opinion is yours and that's fine but project what other people want or wish they had is foolish

Not trying to be snarky but I thought they were called town homes. What are they called?

I always think of a townhouse as a house with a small footprint on multiple floors, detached or not. Might not be technically correct but it describes the type of house adequately. When I think SFH I'm thinking larger lot, more traditional style detached one or two story house.

Some of the homes in Shady Acres. You might think they are townhomes but don't be fooled! You see that small gap in the middle? They are freestanding "single family detached". Boom!

That's a nice set up if you want to borrow a cup of sugar from the neighbor and don't feel like going outside.

May not "officially" be a townhome, but looks and quacks enough like a duck that I'd call it one.

I consider single family home to be something with enough space around it that I could tear it down if I wanted to someday and build something different.
