My wife is starting at one of the hospitals in the Med Center. We are trying to figure out the best options for parking in the area. Weighing time, convenience and price.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Which hospital is it? Some hospitals have their own garage. I would contact the hospital to find out more info. They should have given her more information regarding parking options before or during orientation. Just FYI it can be quite expensive even if they have their own garage.

Information on contract parking at TMC Contract Parking in the Medical Center | Texas Medical Center

Smithlands lot is $75 per month, I believe they have shuttles.

There's a no contract parking at 1030 Holcombe for $5 a day. Not sure if this will be a walkable distant to her hospital. It's a parking garage.

It will be at Memorial Hermann. I think they do have a garage. And then you have to get on the METRO or something.

Live close and take metro - claim work expense on taxes. Many bike as well. The hike bike trail goes through the med center

They have a garage right next to the Hospital, but you may not be able to get a spot there as a new employee. There is remote surface lot parking as well as a remote garage where you get on either the circulator bus or the train depending on which remote lot you get into.

Make a friend in Southgate and park in their driveway, haha.

Honestly I'd try to cycle or find a way to use the metro, even if I could get free parking there. Traffic during morning/evening rush hours is terrible.

The hospitals, including Memorial Hermann, used to take care of your light rail pass. You may want to look into this.

Yes, look into Metro passes--TMC definitely subsidizes. Some people park in the Park or Zoo lots.
