I'll have to track down the data again, but when I did the research while doing a Chron post, I found that 80% of sexual assaults are not reported and that the arrest rate of those that are reported is only 12%.

So, I'm really curious about the data which negates my beliefs.

Pumpkins are orange.
China is Communist.
There are 7.3 billion people on the planet.

Are other facts that also have nothing to do with the bill.

Enough with the verbal gymnastics, bathrooms are a part of HERO. Just admit it and quit trying to play games.

Sorry, but his CLAIM that none have happened has no bearing on reality.

I'm computer illiterate so copying and pasting from my phone is not an option. A simple googing of penalties for business owners when proposition 1 (Houston) is not followed. It clearly states up to $5000.00 penalty. Who is going to monitor this? Can anyone just accuse a business of this? I don't know, but like I said, it opens a can of worms with a he said/she said...

Oh right, because the man wasn't transgendered and the bill is completely unrelated to sexual assault, in bathrooms or otherwise.
Once again, you don't seem to grasp that the bill essentially allows any man into the women's restroom.

I'm not transgender, but all I'd have to do is claim I identified as a woman at that moment to gain access.

So you're really going to stick with the belief that the bill would've specifically allowed sexual assault in bathrooms despite the fact that the bill was unrelated to that topic, assault is already illegal and already happens with or without the bill existing. Meaning that essentially, if you voted against it solely for this reason, then you either didn't know what you were voting on, or had a preexisting problem with gays/tg and you needed some justification for voting against basic protections.

Leftists are promoters of perversion and depravity. But not today at the polls in Houston, Texas.

Well done, Houston.

I'm sorry, but if your emotions allow you to jump to such ridiculous conclusions, there is no point in discussing this with you. You don't appear to be rational on this.

No, the bill allowed a transgendered person from entering a bathroom of their identified gender. Period.

It's been shown that no pedophile, rapist or perv has to jump through any hoops whatsoever to have access to bathrooms. They can freely identify as men. You wasted your vote and exposed yourself (no pun intended) for what your motivations really were.
