What's funny is that everything in HERO is already protected by federal law. Only now instead of handling discrimination cases at the local level they all become federal cases. So the only thing the idiots voting against HERO accomplished was wasting more taxpayer's money. Way to go.

In a world with a clean water shortage you are still crapping in drinking water like a freaking King even if it's not in the room you like.

Tough up buttercup, you've got it good.

I really don't get your point here. You seem to be arguing that if there are any anti-discrimination laws at all, that's good enough even if they actually don't cover everyone. You're basically admitting that the laws don't cover gay people and saying that that is okay. There's a word for this. I will let you figure out what it is.

When are you getting over this?

If nothing else, I do enjoy *******s getting bend out of shape for once.

The fight for equality never really ends, nor does the fight against malicious and ignorant discrimination. History is not on your side. I feel good about the kind of legacy I'll help leave behind. Can you really say that?

Pretty typical, when you don't get your way, then resort to calling other's bigots, racist, threaten economic doom...etc. The bill was poorly written, poorly promoted, poorly executed, and was heavily flawed. "the fight for equality".....nice and pathetic.

To vote directly against anti-discrimination is what it is. It says something very specific about the people who make that choice. You may not like that reality put out there, but it doesn't require myself or someone else to do so. It's self evident once you vote no or once you type the things you have in this thread. You don't have to like gay people. You don't have to support their equality under the law, but there is no way that you'll forever be protected from the consequences of that. It is not my fault, my job or even my agenda, to care about who or what you are. If I have any agenda, it's to move forward the rights of a group of people who have done nothing inherently wrong to deserve anything less. Maybe you should not be fighting me, and perhaps ask yourself why it might matter to you so much that other people be treated less than you think you should be, and what you gain from that position, either emotionally or otherwise.
