Ok thats good to know. About $16 round trip. It is getting crazy expensive. Lot of people who move in new to Houston don't really include toll expenses in their budget. I think it is a big amount that everyone should include and is like insurance or a certain percentage of car payment. I learned it the hard way and its unlike many other cities I been to.

If you think it is bad in Houston, try Orlando, North Dallas and its northern suburbs, Chicago, NYC area, or Miami.

Hm, I don't see anything in the article about segment G opening on the 8th. I live near part of it and it doesn't seem like it's 4 days away from being drivable...

I vaguely recall reading that while construction is mostly done on G, they aren't as far along on the rest of the project (landscaping, striping, toll ramps, etc), and it wouldn't open at the same time as the F segments. Maybe a few months later.

Yea, I actually just caught that the title of this is wrong; only F-1 & F-2 are opening on 2/8 like astrohip said.

yes I am aware of these place and its bad there as well. I am even used to paying rush hour congestion charge in London as well but there were always alternate options of commuting to work in most of the places. It is what it is I guess.

The search for the toll-free, uncongested, low-gas-tax thriving metro area unicorn continues.

Looks like it's opening today (2/6), and not 2/8.
