Why commute if you don't have to? Unless you have family or friends you want to live near, I would try and live as close to my employer as possible. I hate commuting but am stuck with a long daily commute because I need to live in the area I am in for many reasons but my employer is in the total opposite end of town. I wouldn't do it by choice. But that's just me, many people don't mind being in the car and driving.

I think you missed the part where his wife will work in the opposite direction.

You know, I don't think anyone has mentioned Idylwood to you. It's a fantastic little community off I-45. Real hills, a park inside the neighborhood, Brays Bayou along one end, super-tight community, and holds its value VERY well. I owned a house there for a few years and loved it...basically splits the distance for you both. Since you likely won't raise kids there, you don't have to worry about the schools. Once you pull into the area, you feel like you are in another town.

Finding a home there can be tough (not much comes on the market), but if you find the right one, you're set.

No i didn't miss that part. I just know it's very close to the park and ride for med center. There isn't a metro park and ride for nasa that I know of. Idylwood is a good consideration especially if you aren't concerned about schools. Be a better commute than sugar land.

Idylwood is a very nice neighborhood. But like mentioned there never more than a handful of homes for sale at any given time.
