Hello All,

I am moving to Houston in probably 2-3 months from Florida to start graduate school in the summer at Baylor near Texas Medical Center. I need some advice on apartment hunting. I prefer a single bedroom, single bath apartment at around $600/month, is that possible in Houston? Any other general apartment hunting advice in Houston would also be appreciated.

Thanks!

YL

Lots of students in the TMC and UH area..You can share a larger apartment and have a bedroom for yourself.. No apartments for 600 unless you are with a few more..

If you want your portion to be $600 or under, you are likely to have to find a room mate or room mates.

You probably will need to live near the medical center and you won't find anything decent for $600 but you'll have to do some digging around and since you're still in Florida, that'll be a bit hard. Do you have close friends or relatives in Houston that can help you out on that? Either that, contact one of the many apartment locators.

Only 5 posts and you're name calling. Nice.

The older apartments on Holly Hall near the Dome might be in that range. Possibly a small garage apartment in the Rice area. You would have to drive around and look for signs. They go so fast many people do that rather than list them.
