Waterview Town Center is launched with Super Walmart - Lowes- Ross - Michaels - HEB - Kohls- and so much more including Restaurants and Family fun centers (5 mns from Harvest Green). 10 Years is incorrect - 1 year is the right answer.

In addition Harvest Green is running out of land already and a Brand New Elementary School with 21st century updates will be ready for fall 2017. And another 250 homes were recently announced in Harvest Green because the first homes sold Quickly. The middle school is Ranked 9 out of 10 on Greatschools.com and the high school is 8/10.

These schools will get even better with the new community.

This is going to be an incredible investment and HG is an amazing community.

I just signed a contract to purchase a home there.
First time poster telling all these great things about HG..

This is not accurate. Tons of development in that area.

Harvest Green as a community might be 'amazing', but $500k+ in HG is not the greatest use of your money.

I drove by there recently. Nope.

The location pretty much guarantee the only development there will be strip malls and supermarkets.

You are right in the middle between Katy and Sugar Land core. Nobody is going to build there when all the developments is in those 2.

Well of course, if you are excited about a new Walmart opening, then maybe there are developments.

We lived in the area of Harvest Green from 2005 to 2013. So many developments were promised when we moved in, including the HEB that has finally, 11 years later, been built. We thought that being between Katy and Sugar Land was a good idea. But in reality it was horrible. Nothing was close by enough. We eventually had to move. Granted there is now more there than in 2013, but it still is not the same as living in either Sugar Land or in Katy. We are in Sugar Land now, and our quality of life in terms of having easy access to development is so much improved. Not one single regret with regards to our move. Would I buy in the Harvest Green area ever again? No way.

All the homes are going to sell eventually, they always do. The question is at what price, at what profit margin, and how quickly. Check back in a few years, new home communities will be popping up all along Grand Parkway from 59 to 290, many of the developments are already purchased and in the works, just not announced yet.

Hmmm what else do you think would get built around there?

On a related note, i think it's pretty cool to see that they are re-developing parts of the old Imperial Sugar complex without tearing it all down first. That's a very un-Houston thing to do!

I am not a huge fan of Harvest Green, but to say there will be no development around there is not too bright. It is right off the Grand Parkway. Or unless driving 3-5 minutes is considered far. Give me a break!

What was around Sienna 10 years ago? Nothing...that HEB in front of the development was built around 2007.
********+++

Back to HG.

In 2000, that area of Richmond only has Pecan Grove and Waterview. Then, LMF, Alianna and now HG. Santikos and GF are really nothing but I think it will develop as builders are running out of land.

The bottom line is the price point. 500k homes in the Richmond area are the same as $600k homes in Telfair or Riverstone.

With the toll road, Houston 321 is stretching the travel time ....I think it's about 10' drive from Greatwood to LMF.
