I'm about to move to pearland tx for a temporary move. I'm moving to the breezy side, pasendena height, and Pasadena gardens area is the area OK?

Crime, jobs, etc. And yes I know crimes everywhere i just want to know am i chancing a bad area esp with 6 month daughter. Also I'm African American too. I have heard of places to avoid here in Texas because of my skin.

I have no car which I know is going to be a problem but I have to do what is needed even if I have to walk. Keep in mind this is temporarily move no more than 4 months.

Those areas are not in Pearland. If you are really moving to Pearland, you may want to ask about the homes there.

That's pretty bad when a person isn't even clear of the name of the city they are going to.

Pasadena is primarily a working class city with a few upper income areas. The majority population is Hispanic. In the 70s and before, it was known as the headquarters of the local KKK (long gone) and for having the areas only X-rated drive in theatre (also long gone). Time changes everything and sometimes for the better as is the case for Pasadena. There are African Americans who live there and have no issues and they may be only about 10% of the population (just a guess on that percentage). The industrial plants are along highway 225. The closer to that highway one chooses to live, the more concern is there for air quality. Those are also mostly the older, low income areas. There are plenty of areas away from that highway to choose from. It is a fairly safe area.

Oh, another Pasadena hater. Yes, much of the city is poverty-stricken, but I'd hardly call it dangerous.

To the OP: Pasadena is less depressing if you're south of Spencer.
