i want to buy a cheap car. i was looking in craigslist and i found a 2014 ford fusion titanium. It is rebuilt but it is a good deal. i did a vehicle history report and this is what i found
SEVERE ACCIDENT OR VEHICLE DAMAGE REPORTED: FRONT CENTER

My questions are should i buy this car? do you think the accident affected the car?

Thanks.

If it were me I would not only walk, but run, away from this deal. The best you'd get would be a salvaged title and certainly an unsafe vehicle. There are tons of deals out there. Don't fall in love with this one.

While there are cases in which buying a car with a salvage title can be a good thing, it seems like you don't really understand what that is, so I'd say run away. Cheap car, look for a Corolla in the price range you want irrespective of mileage and buy it.

How much is it ? salvaged are not good buy because insurance won't cover it completely or you would need to buy basic insurance only

If you know a lot about cars and can repair it yourself buy it. Otherwise no. But your asking for our opinion so I would so NO. Plus we cant tell you accurately yes from any information provided. you might want to check with your insurance company about buying a rebuilt car you might not be able to get very good coverage for it.

Not only insurance coverage issues, chances are you won't be able to find any place to finance it if you are needing a loan at all. I'd say walk away. It's really just not worth it.

I bought a truck once with a salvage title and things did not go well. It was a great looking truck and I got a great deal on it, but just about everything went wrong with it. This is obviously anecdotal, but I'm certainly proof that sometimes it doesn't work out.

Rule #1) Do not trust Carfax EVER. People fix the cars in independent shops after an accident and sell the car with clean title

Rule#2) DO not trust xyz brabd certified. Google the words and you will read the horror stories. it is not by xyz company it is by the dealer so no value at all. Some certified cars found to be flooded.

Rule#3) Dont buy toyota and honda used. too expensive. they do not depreciate much. So buy new

Don't ever spend money on a salvage titled vehicle unless you fixed the damage yourself or know exactly what happened and how it was repaired.
