Gee, thousands of teens, half naked, no parents, an all-nighter? Who was the genius who thought of this event? What parent thought it would be a good idea to drop their kids off? Poor planning by park management, poor parenting, disrespectful kids!

Poor planning by the water park for sure.

There were flyers billing it as a Christian lock in, and others billing it as a "youth" lock in, all on the same night.

Didn't close the park to let the daytime visitors out. Oversold the tickets, and expected teenage workers to manage the whole thing.

Typhoon Texas was way over their heads with this one.

I've been to similar lock in type of overnight events at the zoo, nasa, aquarium, Skeeters.

It CAN be managed, but the venue has to be organized. This was a disorganized mess.

If it's a church lock in, require the church groups to bring chaperones. Don't let the general public show up without a church group.

That is what happens when a bunch of people are hard up for entertainment.

Correct. The media just CANNOT get the story right. Many want to blame "the water park", but it was inner city feral kids who got wind of it through social media, and drove out to Katy and mobbed the place. Sexual assaults, violence, openly smoking pot, you name it. After their ejection, some of the feral mob rushed a 24 HR WalMart, and stole items and ransacked the place.

I guess some will blame WalMart for "poor planning" too.

The park owners should have been aware of what happened at Astroworld. If this was 20 years ago and this kind of situation had never happened before, I could understand.
