Don't waste your time trying to collect worn boxes. They'll be varied in size anyway which makes packing, stacking and moving that much more aggravating. Plus used boxes may have roach eggs, grease, ect. I still have my home depot boxes. They've made several moves. I untape, unfold and then stack em for later use.

Home Depots boxes are not very cheap not by a long shot

Agreed unless they're used MOVING boxes. These are standard sizes which load well.

Ditto on Craigslist. Also check for a neighborhood forum or facebook group. People are always exchanging moving boxes with these forums.

I found the WalMart boxes (new) to be the cheapest, but none of them are that expensive new. Home Depot/Lowes/U-Haul.

$.75-1.50 isn't cheap? How poor are you? Try driving around looking for crap boxes and see how much time and gas it takes.
