I was there yesterday, just outside of the west loop, and oh boy there were so many people... I had never seen a shopping center as packed as IKEA was in my entire life.

Great place on Sunday! Even if you just want to look and don't want to buy anything. I bought an arm chair though.

I can understand that.

I don't mind the crowds because I like meeting people and I am often an extrovert. If I was in an introverted mood, however, I'd have run out of there as soon as I got the chance.

The hard part was finding a place to park in the pick-up area... cars everywhere, lol

That place is always crowded. It was worse when they had the old building I think.

It never seemed that crowded the several times I've been on weekends. There were plenty of people there, but it wasn't like you couldn't get around.

I guess it all depends on what you're comparing it to....

Super Wal Mart on weekends -- now that's crowded.

Went there one Sunday and bought a couch/folding bed thingamuhbob. Wasn't that crowded. As tstone mentioned, give me IKEA over Super Wal-Mart any Sunday.

I don't think it's possible to go into IKEA and come out emptyhanded.
