For Sienna commutes, he is talking about the Fort Bend Tollroad. In my experience, it is never very crowded, so yes, you can go about 75 mph for most of it if you wish. The only thing is that it gets to be very expensive. Time vs money.

This.

The FBCTR actually terminates right in Sienna. Once the flyover over TX 6 is done this fall, it will be even faster. My first 11 miles of my commute takes a bit over 10 minutes, the second 11 takes about half an hour.

Sienna Plantation and Katy are both like 25 miles from I-10 & 610. Comparisons of commute are simply bad v bad.

My kids go to school at I-10 and 610. I live east of Jersey Village inside the beltway in western 77040 and it takes me 13-25 minutes to get there at all times of day. Plus there is a Park & Ride commuter bus that takes 16 minutes from the West Little York P&R to the Northwest Transit Center. My kids have taken the bus themselves, it's a fantastic option to have.

There are some really pretty neighborhoods in the Jersey Village area with good schools and trees galore. In your budget, too.
